Agape Heart’s mission
is to open essential
pathways

AHIO is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-partisan humanitarian organization located in Pittsburgh, PA, with a field office in the refugee resettlement camps in Uganda, and Juba, South Sudan. Our strategy is to provide refugees with the basics for a successful life. This starts with recognizing their need to feel safe, to overcome anxiety and fearfulness after surviving serious trauma–whether caused by war, famine, the climate crisis, tribal conflicts, gender violence or other unfathomable experiences.
