I never expected a simple browser puzzle game to steal an entire afternoon, but that is pretty much what happened when I decided to check out Block Blast over the weekend. I had seen people talking about block puzzle games online, and since I was looking for something low-stakes to pass some time while drinking my coffee, I figured I would play a quick round or two. It looked simple enough on the surface—just drag some shapes onto a grid and clear some lines. Little did I know, I was about to walk straight into a trap of my own making.
