Overview

Bridgeport Magnetics Group, Inc. is a privately held corporation located in Shelton, Connecticut. Founder Ulrik Poulsen and partner Sandu Pescaru are known in the industry as leaders in the development of superior and economical products. Our three business units (Alpha-Core, Tortran, and Goertz Audio) were originally started as separate corporations. Alpha-Core was founded in 1982, Tortran in 1986 and Goertz Audio in 1992. In 2008, these businesses became divisions of Bridgeport Magnetics Group Inc. when we moved from Bridgeport, CT to our own modern 40,000 sq. foot factory in Shelton, Connecticut.
