Overview

A Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger is a type of heat transfer equipment where two fluids exchange heat—one flows inside a series of tubes, and the other flows outside those tubes but within a sealed shell. The fluids remain separated, and the heat transfer occurs through the tube walls. This design allows for a large surface area for heat transfer, which makes it ideal for high-pressure and high-temperature processes in industries such as oil and gas, power generation, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, and food processing.
