Seven Veils” builds up gradually until the third act, which feels like a big emotional climax. That feeling is very satisfying. The stunning impacts of mutual collision occur off-stage, however. As the audience, we are left wondering if the emotional takeaway will be lasting. I suppose Jeanine—along with the rest of the world— is free now, and that is perhaps the central point of this work.
